Luxury Home Furnishings Crafted By Hand In Rome

About Us

Sustainable home furnishings imbued with a uniquely personalised style and a global inclusivity, this is the essence of KalaRara Roma. The brand, founded by arts and antiques dealer Anna Maria Coronato and interior designer Vincent Copeland employs the talents of highly skilled Roman artists and master craftsmen to create one-of-a-kind and limited edition furnishings. Every item of the in-house designed collection is entirely made by hand using sustainable, reclaimed and repurposed materials.

More than just purposeful furnishings each piece in the KalaRara Collection is a functional piece of art. Whether it’s a table with a top created from fused Murano glass fragments resting on a handmade metal base, or an upholstered piece covered in vintage fabric, all our creations are made to the highest standards with functionality and durability in mind. The culmination of years of experience and dedicated research, our designs draw on a wide variety of influences that include, Classical Roman Art, Byzantine Mosaics, Japanese Samurai Culture, Post-War American Art and Pop-Culture just to name a few.

In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, KalaRara also offers a curated selection of antique and vintage and antique furnishings, some of which have been respectfully modified to accommodate contemporary lifestyles. It is our belief that these pieces have a reduced impact on the environment and add depth and personality to the interiors they inhabit.

Our Creative Process

Whether it begins with a rough sketch on the back of a napkin or rudimentary idea while exploring new materials and techniques in our atelier, every piece we create is born of a collaboration between designer, artist and artisan. Each member of the team brings years of experience and research to every project. Once a design is finalised in the technical specification stage, our artists painstakingly make every tabletop by hand. At the same time our metal artisans set to work creating the structure, cutting, welding and finishing each piece by hand. In the end the piece is assembled and quality controlled. The final result: a unique piece of luxury functional art.
